Helen grew up in Mobile and graduated from Julius T. Wright. She attended the University of Virginia where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After receiving a Master’s degree in Education from the University of South Alabama, Helen taught high school History in Mobile and Birmingham. She lived in Birmingham for 18 years where she married Hugh Milteer, Jr. and raised their three children. Helen returned to the area in 2012 for Hugh’s job and to be closer to family. Helen loves to bake and started a company, Point Clear Cakes, which sells cakes to various retail outlets in the area. Since moving to Fairhope, she has been involved in her community by volunteering at Bayside Academy, Lower Alabama Lacrosse and the National Charity League
